My nan survived the buzz bombing of London as a little girl, she married an American Air Force member, immigrated to the US, and lived the American dream. MORE THAN FUCKING VETS EARNED DESKS.

2. How true. What a stupid story, with all due respect to vets.
My Mom was a Rosie the Riveter in Detroit, and was the first Detroit woman to win the War Production Board Award for her work on bombers (Eleanor went to Detroit to personally congratulate her).

Also, nobody "earns" our freedom. It is an inalienable right. It is to be DEFENDED, and that's what our vets did. It was never a "gift."
