The latest GOP BS about how criticizing Palin is sexism and that it's the media's fault was probably akin to showing the media a red flag for them to charge at. No matter how utter fuck-ups they've been about more important issues (like the Iraq War and the Bush administration), there's still no way they'd admit that and in a case where they are actually doing their job, that'd just increase their level of grievance with the McCain campaign.
