Savage: It's over for McCain. "But the truth is that McCain’s cronies have made a fatal choice."
Is it over for McCain?

Is it over for McCain? The Republicans can pretend that the media has turned against them. They can pretend that they used the hurricane as an excuse to avoid coverage of the convention. They can pretend that only evil, sexist, misogynists are against Sarah Palin. But the truth is that McCain’s cronies have made a fatal choice. They ran this gal up the flagpole and the pole broke from shock.

McCain did not want Sarah Palin as his vice-presidential pick. He wanted Joe Lieberman. And as insane as it sounds, even Joe Lieberman would have been a better choice than Sarah Palin. He would have been stronger on national defense. He would have been stronger on fighting Islamofascism. And for all his far-left views, he taught his daughter well enough so that she didn’t get pregnant as a teenager. But the Republican puppet masters gave Sarah Palin the nod instead. They thought women were generic. But Sarah is not Hillary to the millions of Clinton loyalists.

In Ancient Rome, the Publicans were contractors for the military and public works. The KBR of their time. Now the Re-Publicans are into contracting as well. And they seem to have taken out a contract on the presidential candidacy of John McCain. He could have been a contender. He could have been someone. But the powers that be have said, “Let Obama win.” And that is exactly what John McCain seems to be doing. I’m Michael Savage and I approve this monologue.

3. What universe are we in?
Did Obama's speech last week really throw us back into the Universe where good triumphs over evil? You never know. :eyes:

6. Nope
Savage is notorious for going after his own party. In a way I give him credit for just blowing down all sides. Yes I know he says hateful things but he doesn't believe ANY of them. Trust me. He loves to stir the shit.

14. Sorry for this non-post, but I just have to tell you that I got a serious case of the giggles at the
thought of "shit stirred right". I don't know why, but I can't stop laughing. Thanks for the funny.

10. Savage is doing reverse psych

I listened to him in 2004 and he was this close to killing himself, mopping about John Kerry flying in Air Force one painted up as a Heinz ketchup bottle. He KNEW Kerry had won...he's doing the same thing here.

15. this to me is the money line
(It doesn't attack Palin directly, so she can't go "poor little me.")

"They thought women were generic."

For any Hillary supporter (all fifteen of them) who might still have thought of voting for McCain (in the face of everything Hillary stands for... their way of thinking is simply incomprehensible to me), the clusterf*ck of the past few days has already made the pandering behind the choice of Palin crystal clear. That line pointing out how McCain's campaign thought women were interchangeable shows just how insulting that choice is to any woman of intelligence, and ought to bring the Hillary voters the rest of the way home.
