Difference Between Democrats and Republicans

The Republicans are good at winning crooked elections, let's not take anything from them. Whether it's voter disenfranchisement, ballot box stuffing, or just plain misrepresenting the issues, the GOP is full of unscrupulous operators like Karl Rove.

But ya gotta hand it to the Democrats - we can get bodies out in the street. Let's face it, today's march had all kinds of official opposition. Newspapers warned of danger. Bloomberg wouldn't allow a rally. Gloom-and-doom'ers inside the Democratic Party cautioned against it.

Despite all this . . . IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS.

1. I am absolutely delighted

that the march itself was peaceful, that the only arrests were bikers blocking traffic elsewhere (maybe) and the pinhead so-called anarchists who lit the dragon afire. I'm delighted that the pro Bush crowd was limited to loudmouthed halfwits, that the violent Freeper types we all feared failed to turn up.
