I think we're totally fucked because of McCain's brilliant strategy.
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 02:27 PM by Guy Whitey Corngood
His slogan has changed from "Putting Country First" to "Me Too".

Obama: "Hey let's bring change to Washington"

McDick: "Me too."

Obama: "How about a time table to bring the troops home?"

McDouche: "Me too."

Obama: "How about creating a "green economy"?"

McTaint: "Me too!"

Obama: "We need to keep a woman's right to choose."

McBalls: "Errrrr ahhhmmm me......too? I think. Let me check what my position is on that."

2. Palin helps
Don't be fooled, Palin will help the ticket.

She'll energize the evangelical base that helped Bush surpass Kerry in TO.

Whether it will help enough is another question

26. Normally I'd agree with you, but there are trolls on every single thread these days.
And unfortunately, 'concern' is usually the dead giveaway.

9. PLEASE don't compare the Bush elections to this one.
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 02:34 PM by msallied
McCain is running with 8 years of failed Bush policy in his pocket. The evangelicals only tipped the scales when independents sided with Bush over an aloof New England liberal who was no better at connecting with "regular folks" than McCain himself. That is not the case here. By a long shot.

29. Yes, the bush years were unique in that they
created the Perfect Storm for someone like Obama to come along and lead us to victory in spite of the corporate media.

And, is it my imagination or was the media leaving mccain alone until the whacko picking committee came up with palin?

15. I don't think Palin will appeal to the middle or indies
or even reasonable Republican's. She's for people who vote on one issue, and one issue only, the anti-choicer's. And also to rev up his base, a base that doesn't really like him in the first place.

Palin is an insult to our intelligence, so I don't think reasonable people will be fooled.

What percentage of the electorate do you think are fundies? Independents probably outnumber them 10 to 1.

And evangelicals will find themselves out on their ears unless they get their religion out of politics.

33. You are the one who has given up, saying there is no hope. That is your sabotage.
You are so premature.

Just stop with the negative attempts to sabotage Obama. What are you, a PUMA?

If you want to point out risks and problems, fine. But just drop the "we are fucked" defeatist attitude. Language has power. Don't use language to cripple the campaign.
