Update: A new NPR Poll shows Kerry leading Bush, 47% to 43%. In addition, Bush's approval rating remains below 50%.

55% think the country is headed in the wrong direction.

1. Cool!
I hope this is evidence of a SBVT backlash.

3. It'll be our secret
:)

BTW, in case people are wondering if this poll tends to lean Dem, this is the first time they've had Bush's approval under 50 percent.

4. Man, that's from five days ago.
I appreciate the sentiment, though.

7. So?
Most of the state polls that are out there right now are that old. Or were you kidding?

8. I like the numbers but the date is Aug 24.
Is that newer than the ones showing Bush leading ? Maybe it is.

11. Correct
If you look next to each qurstion, you see that the date that is next to it is the 25th.

Most of the polls done. (except for the tracking polls, which poll for one day alone) are about as old as that date, or the 25th at the latest. The more days that a poll is done, plus the more people polled leads to a more accurate poll. A recent Zogby done on the 1st - 24th of August has the same kind of data, with Kerrry at about 50 percent, Bush at about 47 percent.
