Yes, saw some country, beautiful country.
Yes, saw some cheating, scandilous cheating.
Yep, flying 180's, not Cubs.
Scott Davis and Todd Palin (mister first mister of AK) were caught greasy-handed, wrenching on their machines off-the-clock a few minutes before the restart in NOme. I saw it with these two eyes. Scandilous! and the Iron Dog race directors may actually sweep it under the carpet.

So I started this thread cuz I'm pissed that the golden boy and the first dude won this race with blatant cheating not addressed by the race director. Pure favoritism, and a sham smearing our new governor.

They assessed them a penalty of 15 minutes for it.

http://irondog.org/results/checkpointData.php?team=22 Under NOME, you see they were given a penalty.
The race director reviewed it and that was his decision. It's final. It's done. It's past. Move on.

Thanks for the support guys!
I suppose you'd feel different if they were not your team and if they were stealing minutes FROM your team in front of your very eyes.
Like I said, a smear and a sham. The governor's husband cheating in some stupid snowmachine race that he could win without cheating................and I voted for her and wish that the cheating had not made it on NPR radio for all the liberals to hear. Now how'd'ya think?
>>>yeah, I know, let it go..

Yeah, especially when I felt so helpless to stop it or really have anything done about it.
Also, especially when they are veterans favored to win and the team leader (Scott Davis) has a commonly-recognized (by those more race-involved than I) history of getting away with rules infractions. Every other former and veteran racer that I spoke to of this confirmed it. Some of them advised it better left alone. Can you believe it?

Dave,
Out of curiosity, what was the infraction? My knowledge of the Iron Dog is pretty much limited to: "it's a cross country snowmobile race" so I'm kinda wondering what the rules are that are being broken.
