Carly Fiorina issues fatwa: "Americans will not tolerate sexist treatment of Gov. Palin"
McCain defends Palin selection process, Obama accused of sexism
Reuters
Published: Tuesday September 2, 2008

McCain adviser Carly Fiorina said she was appalled and accused him of sexism, a charge the Obama camp had faced during Democrat Hillary Clinton's primary battle against him.

"The facts are that Sarah Palin has made more executive decisions as a mayor and governor than Barack Obama has made in his life," Fiorina said.

"Because of Hillary Clinton's historic run for the presidency and the treatment she received, American women are more highly tuned than ever to recognize and decry sexism in all its forms. They will not tolerate sexist treatment of Gov. Palin," Fiorina said.

The McCain campaign released a copy of Palin's Republican voter registration card to rebut a report in The New York Times that Palin had been a member of the Alaska Independence Party, which wants the state to vote on seceding from the United States, for two years in the 1990s.

"The allegations that Gov. Palin was a member of (the) Alaska Independence Party are false. She's never been a member of the Alaska Independence Party," said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers.

When Palin was announced Friday, Republicans welcomed her entry into the presidential race against Obama and Joe Biden in the November 4 election as bringing a burst of energy to the McCain campaign.

They like her anti-abortion, pro-guns stances and her history of government reform in Alaska in her two years as the state's governor.

There was every indication that McCain and other Republicans were standing by their woman despite the hubbub.

"He absolutely keeps her," said Larry Sabato, a political science professor at the University of Virginia. "If he drops her, the election is over. There's zero chance that he'll drop her."

1. As the Republicans did unto Hillary Clinton, so should the Democrats do unto Sarah Palin

If they didn't want to get splattered in filth, they shouldn't have started flinging it in the first place.

As my mom used to say: (parapharasing a bit): "Hit 'er again, Joe Biden, she got up!"

My mom was a tough--and yet genteel Southern woman!

9. Why Not? They Did of Hillary Clinton
Why would Americans not tolerate sexist treatment of Sarah Palin when they did of Hillary Clinton?

Who can deny that many of the attacks on Hillary were sexist in nature? I don't think Obama deliberately engaged in such behavior, it was largely the MSM and the Right Wingers.

Of course, now that one of their own is on the national ticket, they speak out against sexism. Really, some one should remind them of some of the things they have said about Hillary.

Or maybe Fiorina needs to (to borrow a page from Palin's philosophy) stop whining.

20. Honestly, I think such talk will backfire on them. You can only
cry wolf so many times.

First off, Obama was never guilty of "sexism" in his face-off with Hillary. He treated her with all due respect of a worthy opponent. He outflanked her on the field of battle and won. There's nothing sexist about that. He beat all the other men, white men even, as well. Nobody on our side is cryin'.

Obama hasn't said one word or lifted one finger that is remotely sexist vs. Palin. That they are crying about it all of a sudden is utter bullshit. It further promote sexist beliefs because it gives the sense that "women can't take it".

So, GOP, if you really want to turn off men AND women to Palin, keep going on about how sexist everything is. People aren't going to buy it.

Carly Fiorina took a great American company and nearly killed it, costing thousands of people their jobs before she jumped with a platinum parachute. Her opinion should be worthless.

25. Fuck this
I'm a devout feminist, Palin is not only NOT a feminist, she is using the women who have suffered and died throughout history to make the gains she so blithely takes advantage of. She wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

She is getting a LOT of sexism directed toward her, that is how we treat women. I don't like it, I don't condone it, it was bullshit with Clinton and it's bullshit with Palin.

What is different here, and it's a major difference, Palin IMO, is much a misogynist as the idiots photo-shopping pictures of her in bikinis and pushing that dumbass MILF "meme".

The problem with attempting to frame my opinion in that way, is it reinforces the underlying notion that women are too "catty" or "emotional" for politics-- but that is NOT what I mean. I mean her opinions and politics are deeply destructive to women world wide, and to American women in particular.

In a sexist world it's tough to criticize a successful female politician and not feed the sexist animals.

But like I said. Fuck this. I'm criticizing away. As a woman and as a feminist.

I can't stand her, I can't stand her politics, I think she's worse than a bad idea. Her nomination should be a time for celebration for all woman, and example of how far we've come, how much we've achieved, instead it's a time for fucking grieving man. She's a goddam traitor to women everywhere, because she'll take hers and fuck the rest of us. Women, if she is elected can take 1 giant step backward.

Alaskan: Governor Babe for VP!

**RUSH: The babe is the icing on the cake aspect, something the Democrats can't claim on their side.

**CALLER: She can't take a bad picture not even from the back end.

Palin's Media
FEBRUARY 26, 2008 - 12:05 PM
From Sean Cockerham in Anchorage --
http://community.adn.com/blog/24417?page=33
Sarah Palin is getting all kinds of media during her D.C. trip.

Check out this gushing piece in the American Spectator that declares "Sarah Palin, the beautiful conservative Republican governor of Alaska, would be an ideal choice to help McCain slay this unholy ObamaOprah beast."

"Gov. Palin could become the Republican Party's Segolene Royal, the French Socialist Party's glamorous leader known for her heels and political bite. She is the perfect antidote to Sen. Obama's cheap thrills, and would help rejuvenate conservatism."
