...Dogged by questions about the vetting process of his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, McCain's campaign event was tightly controlled. He rode in black SUV rather than his campaign bus, which was parked at the airport. His destination was kept secret until minutes before his small caravan arrived at the firehouse at Brecksville City Hall...


McCain refused to respond to questions about Palin shouted by reporters in Brecksville, who were herded back into vans...

8. He snuck into Philly yesterday and supposedly visited a firehouse in a NE Philly neighborhood.

And one of the veteran (retired) reporters here kept hinting at him being here early yesterday with a query as to why McCain had supposedly talked to Cardinal Rigali from the Catholic Archdiosce of Phila.
