Something supremely ironic just occurred to me.
The irony of all this shotgun wedding business is that the McCain ticket itself is a shotgun marriage of sorts.

With Rev. Dobson presiding, a Bible in one hand and a shotgun in the other.

"You going to do the right thing and marry my daughter!"
