SARAH PALIN is a Rovian sacrificial lamb! (? ? ?)
Democrats, Conservatives AND Sarah Palin are Being Played by Karl Rove!

All weekend I've been enthralled in this internet controversy over rumors that Sarah Palin's youngest son is really her daughter's child!

I confess. I got sucked in. I've spent the last 36 hours reading blogs on every site that I could find.

I've also watched Huffington Post and most other sites dig up other damaging negative facts about this controversial VP pick all weekend (Drip..Drip..Drip..)

Then out of the blue it happened. I read this totally unrelated blog and had an epiphany: This blogger is right.

We have ALL been baited by political genius Karl Rove!

But it goes further than just Democrats!

SARAH PALIN is a Rovian sacrificial lamb! I doubt that she even knows it yet! Why would they throw her and her family to the lions?

Easy. She made a lot of high level Republican enemies. When Rove needed a controversial candidate to take the news cycle away from Obama and ultimately make the conservatives happy to have Lieberman or Romney, they selected her, KNOWING about "trooper-gate" and "baby-gate"!

Sure, the "head fake" operation would most assuredly ruin her career and nationally embarrass her and her family, but who in the Republican Party would care? The State Republican Party in Alaska is investigating her for "trooper gate". She took out a high level incumbent Republican Governor in a primary, and came out against Ted Stevens. A politically savvy friend of mine once said "The road to Alaska is littered with the bodies of politicians who underestimated her!" What a perfectly fitting way for Rove and others to exact revenge on Palin personally and help the campaign at the same time!

Snip...
As the blogger says in the text below, ROVE HAS DONE THIS BEFORE. With Bernie Kerik for Homeland Security, then the less popular Chertoff, and who can forget Harriet Myers???

Again this idea did not come to me without the insight of this anonymous blogger: I wanted to give him credit for his work, but I have lost his name and the link. Greg Purcell These are HIS words: This entire Palin selection is a Rovian head fake. It was designed by Rove to accomplish two goals. First and foremost, to take ALL of the air out of the media that the Obama camp was destined to carry into the GOP convention. It did that, in spades. The echo just simply stopped. The news cycle yesterday was absent of any analysis or follow-through on Obama's speech...itself a major coup for Rove. It's as though the entire media machine stopped speaking of anything "Democratic," in unison.

Secondly, the (apparent) selection of Palin throws a bone to the Puma's and to women generally...one that McCain doesn't have to necessarily follow through with, but made for a nice (disingenuous) photo-op.

Third; they're just not that stupid not to have known about the controversy - and her familial requirements and responsibilities (Downs Syndrome newborn to care for). In short, their unbelievable choice is in fact, unbelievable..."a straw-woman."

+By the time the convention occurs, news will come out that the GOP's own investigators have determined that, while no proof of wrong doing exists, the mere investigation of it is a distraction that the GOP simply cannot afford so close to the election. As such, the announcement that either Lieberman or Romney have become McCain's choice will come as a massive relief to the GOP base, and capture the entire news cycle for weeks to come. If Rove thought it would be impossible for a McCain/Lieberman ticket to succeed without some form of trickery, he would have dreamed this up, making Lieberman look good by comparison. All of the push-back will already be out of the system. +

He's pulled these same stunts in the past - like putting Bernie Kerik's name into nomination only to pull him and install Chertoff as Homeland Security Dictator. Remember when the name of Harriet Miers was put forward for a Supreme Court position? Remember? A fire storm of push back erupted, only to be followed by the swift and easy confirmation of Roberts, who looked like a breath of fresh air BY COMPARISON. THEY ARE GAMING YOU!

If I'm wrong, you'll let me know. If I'm right, you heard it here first.

1. I don't think the Repugs want her to win.
Even though the party "base" is dumb enough to vote for her. The idea is to have the Dems work their tails off trying to clean up the mess. Anything not fixed in 4 years is blamed on them, and the Repugs make another run for the WH. Repugs are so stoopid, they won't remember it was Repugs who caused the destruction in the first place.

2. If this is the real scenario, and also if she is
as ruthless as portrayed, when she wises up there may be gop hell coming down the pike from her quarter. She probably bites back.

3. Take off the tin-foil hat
Karl Rove is not a genius. He lost credibility when he claimed to have "THE Math" in 2006 that showed the Repukes would not lose the Senate or House. And he isn't directly affiliated with McCain. This is all McCain's doing.

Yes, they really ARE that stupid. Unfortunately, so are enough Americans that this might end up as a positive. :(

4. Repukes love to set women up & let them take the fall or the heat for their shenanigans
Just a few examples:

Harriet Myers
Monica Goodling
Dana Perino

I know there are more, but it's late & I'm tired...
add to the list as you see fit.

They are women-haters & it's sad that their Stepford-Wife women can't see it.

5. Sounds Plausible - But - Don't You Think A Lot Of These So Called 'High Level' Repugs.......
that were interviewed by MSM today and gushed over Palin - (see if you can find Newt's comments about her) - would be pissed at Rove for making them look really stupid. Newt really defended Palin. I'm sure he memorized and spit back the Repug talking points verbatim. Now if the plug is pulled on Palin - all these Repugs that defended her so vehemently - would really have egg on their face.

6. On the other hand, they are investing a lot of the Bush* support
staff to improve her international/foreign policy knowledge. Maybe its a bet. Rove bet Bush* he could elect a washed up politician and a dog catcher from Alaska.

7. 2 things that I am thinking on this subject
1.
When I saw that Lieberman trashed Obama over inexperience I was surprised because it was floated to the media that he would lay off of Obama completely... so he pulled this little number ... get it into the media and those who listened in the afternoon don't necessarily hear that he ended up trashing Obama after all.

I only know because I came here otherwise I would have "believed" NPR. All this leads me to believe he trashed Obama because he is still in the running for VP.

2.
I remember being in art class when Reagan was running. A classmate said, "I'm voting for Reagan because he'll make things more exciting". He knew that Reagan was warped but he wanted entertainment and stimulation as politics was just so dry for him.

From this I conclude that McCain/Palin can pull in those kind of disaffected voters, not necessarily the low information voters but the people who do not like politics and vote for their own entertainment. There are more out there than we want to acknowledge.

No matter what happens we should not be complacent. If it's not Rovian maneuvers it could be stupid people who think it's "cool" to vote the cast of Jerry Springer into the White House.

9. Not. A. Chance.
If she gets pulled off the ticket, after the way the religious right has taken her to heart since Friday, McCain won't be able to get a single vote from that base. He'll go down in flames.
