Highlights of the evening at the RNC:
1. Cindy McCain turning around and telling her ADULT children to "wave!" when they were introduced to the crowd. I guess she thought they were still in pre school and needed to know what to do when their names were called.

2. Laura's dress. Could we maybe have a first lady who wears something that doesn't look like grandma's curtains? And Cindy McCain's Sandra Dee look doesn't cut it either.

3. Yawns. Not mine. Several camera shots of delegates yawning. Stupid on the delegates' part and cheap shots by the TV networks.

4. Why the shots (at BOTH conventions) of people milling around in the aisles while a speaker is on stage?

5. Fred Thompson is probably the most boring political speaker ever. Definitely yawn worthy.

6. Joe Lieberman, instead of turning to the camera and talking to Democrats (who, for the most part, aren't going to listen to him anyway), needs to just go find John McCain and get a room.

4. Don't forget the repetitive shots of only 6 'token' people-of-color in the hall
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 11:37 PM by Gwinky
A sea of white people in cowboy hats.
Did anyone else other than my hubby notice that the cameras kept going back to the same six people-of-color? The RNCC is like Provo, Utah.

I like being part of an inclusive party!!! Hooray Demos!
And if anyone thinks that disgruntled Hillary supporters might go for Palin is BEYOND ME!
That woman is so deep in with pro-Oil, pro-NRA lobbying groups, it make my head spin!
