Here is my ranking of the Top 5 attacks for Palin. The most conspicuous absense for me is Palin's daughter's baby, since really can't attribute it to Palin, and Obama has essentially taken the issue off the table. Also, I still need more information about the AIP, since it happened so long ago, that there is nothing really concrete linking her specifically to advocating the independence of Alaska.
1. Palin's image as a reformer is a fraud, since she supported the bridge to nowhere when she was campaigning for Governor and Alaska has not returned the money, but just spent it on other stuff, and as Mayor, Palin pushed for the receipt of federal money through the earmarks that McCain allegedly condemns.
2. Palin's economic success was due to windfall profit tax on oil companies that is similar to the one proposed by Obama, but opposed by McCain. Thus, her alleged crusade against special interests merely means that she adopted a Democratic proposal similar to Obama's.
3. The pick was rash and dicated by the Christian Right over qualified pro-choice candidates Joe Lieberman and Tom Ridge, and McCain's judgment and backbone are seriously called into question due to his failure to properly vet Palin.
4. Palin is neither qualified nor experienced, since she spent most of her career as a mayor of a town with a population of 7,000, and she outsourced her executive responsibilites by hiring a City Manager.
5. Palin is a christian right extremist who is pro-creationism, anti-choice, denies global warming, is against contraception, and against sex education in schools.
