Can Kerry's PR people make him more "likable" to undecideds?
I heard a poll today that said the undecided folks don't like "Bush's war in Iraq" (!!)and don't like Kerry's "personality".

What could be done, with just a few months left, to make him likable to those people? There's only so many open-necked shirts, baby kissing and grinning a person can do. I always thought that very soft interview that Oprah did with "w"and Laura in 2000 was a 100% boost for his image, especially the part where they showed him bringing HER coffee in bed every day. I think the soccer moms really dug that.

This personality thing is such crap - what type of sparkling personalities did Lincoln or Jefferson have? You want a person of courage, integrity, compassion and intelligence - everything else is B.S. but then I'm not an "undecided."

1. Kerry Needs to Be More Forceful
When addressing the "real issues" Kerry needs to put the same passion, enthusiasm, and yes anger into his presentations and responses as he EVENTUALLY DID on the Swift boat smut.

2. Then he might "scare" them....they're very easily scared.
Look what Howard Dean did to them! They weren't the same for months afterwards!

5. It's the media's fault. They did it in 2000 and they're doing it again
They constantly told us how likeable and comfortable in his skin * was in 2000, and Gore was stiff and had no personality.
2004, same old shit. Bush is so warm and fuzzy and Kerry is cold and patrician. The media says it enough and people believe it. Stupid people.

4. Nonsense about Kerry not being likable is horseshit.
Nonsense about Kerry not being likable is horseshit. The Republicans and their RWAM said the same about Gore. They say that about anyone who runs against or criticizes His Majesty.

6. They just need to see his rallies and town hall meetings
If they saw those they might connect with him a lot more.

7. What exactly is there to "like" about Bush?
Since 99% of the population has not, nor ever will, know Bush we only have the "media's" word he is "likable". Why would anyone believe the media about anything??

8. A waste of time and effort...
It is irrelevant. It is a media creation. Nobody knows who is more well-likd or who isn't...

9. Hamsters! Puppies!
Does Kerry have a pet right now? Haven't heard anything about it.

But he's clearly very humane and big-hearted. He saved V.C. and Licorice.

10. As Howard Dean said on CNN today
(paraphrasing)
'most of the currently undecided voters aren't going to be paying attention till the final two weeks. John Kerry is a great closer -- as I learned. And he's going to win this.'
