Bumper Sticker Wars
So I have noticed that in Colorado in the last few weeks there has been an increase of "W04" and "Kerry/Edwards" bumper stickers. I'm keeping track in my head and so far the K/E ones are in the lead. What gets me though is how we all treat each other in traffic.

The other day I was shocked when a woman in a mini-van was gracious enough to let me pass in front of her on a busy I-25. When she eventually passed me later I saw the K/E bumper sticker on her trunk.

A little while later an asshole cut me off and got in front of me...you guessed it he had a W04 sticker in his back window.

The Election has made its way to Road Rage...

It said "UNFIT".

I hope that SUV rolls over and the insurance money allows its idiot owner to be able to get only a 1981 Ford Pinto 1985 Ford Escort. (I forgot, the Pintos had volatile gas tanks. :eyes: )

2. Everybody needs to get a bumper sticker now!
They encourage the faithful. Swing the swingable. Demoralized the enemy.

Go! NOW!

3. Have you seen the SUPER SIZE anti-Kerry stickers???
I saw one the other day:

IF KERRY'S YOUR MAN
YOU'RE NOT ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS

Of COURSE it was superimposed over an American FLag! Of course.. and it was on some fat-ass giant cadillac from the 90's.

Sticker to sticker, the Kerry and anti-Bush far outnumber the W stickers in my pretty conservative town. I'd say this town is majority conservative.. but Kerry is kicking butt here. The funnies thing??? THe "W" stickers and Bush stickers are on fewer cars, but the cars are PLASTERED with the Bush stickers... Like we'll think they're THAT much more comitted if they have 8 stickers on one car!!

You know, I don't have a Kerry sticker on my car. My husband works in a small, tiny company with the two most rabid rightwinger owners... they would find a way to get rid of him if they knew his politics.. and we have gotten attached to eating and having a home, so we keep it to ourselves. My husband has always been the type to keep his politics and religion out of his workplace.. which I think it s a great idea; It's good manners. The owners, and a few employees, however.. feel free to listen to Rush Limbaugh in their offfices all day, and talk about how Godly Bush is.. (barf), and how evil the liberals are.

Tho I don't have a sticker on my car, I have noticed in the past few years, that the American Flag, God Bless America, and Bush, stickered cars are ALWAYS the ones that are cutting people off and speeding, and tailgating. For such fine, upstanding people, they drive like lawless assholes.

4. I loved reading this because
I do a "Bumper Sticker Poll" every day....count each on the way to and from work....so far, Kerry has led EVERY SINGLE DAY in the capital city of Ohio.

5. True.
I have been harassed by 'pubs 3 times in the last month because of my bumper sticker.

I have also experienced the A-hole with the W'04 sticker and the good traffic Samaritan with the Kerry/Edwards ones.

Just corroboration.

7. Kerry sticker count is winning
In the past month I've been to Greensboro, NC and Rehoboth Beach, DE from my Washington DC-area home. Everywhere I've been (and here at home) the Kerry stickers way outnumber the B*sh bumper stickers.

Funny how you never see a B*sh sticker on a small car that gets good gas mileage. They always seem to be plastered on those giant fuel-hog SUVs. I guess they think it's okay to send our kids (not theirs) to die in Iraq so they can get cheap gas for their pigmobiles.

9. That's awful.
That kind of ugly behavior from the rethugs doesn't surprise me, though. They are overgrown playground bullies whose answer to everything is to hit people and break things.

Wonder if we should start tracking all incidents of election-related vandalism? A central reporting place and an on-line list of incidents would be a good way to focus nationwide on this problem. People might be able to offer contributions to victims in need.

10. Kerry stickers kicking W's here
By a HUGE margin. Well, that's no surprise for Portland. However, I did drive in the Columbia River Gorge this weekend (rural) and I saw lots of Kerry and some anti-W and NO Bush/Cheney stickers.

The other thing is yard signs. Our neighborhood is plastered with them. No one dares put out a Bush sign. In 2000, I don't recall seeing many or any Gore signs (nor Bush).
