Meet the Press thread
Timmy is so sweet to Rudy the hypocrite. His tone is so different from when he interviews a Democrat.

He's practically giggling, "Oh Rudy, your beliefs are so different from your party's platform!".

What doesn't make sense is that Timmy is an Irish catholic with a working class background. At one point he was a Democrat. I think he must overcompensate by hammering Democrats. Or else he has become an 'Every sperm is sacred' Catholic (isn't he in Opus Dei?).

1. You trumped me - bettter subject line than my thread
I concede defeat...

Giuliani is caught in the web of being a Social Dem stuck with the Repubs.

His logic is so twisted and inane that even Russert is expressing incredulity.

He's also quoting Democrats to bolster his 'points' - Moynihan, etc. they certainly can't quote any Rethugs.

It is just so bizarre...I can't take a whole week of this...

2. Funny. Let's hammer Giuliani
http://www.georgewbush.com/News/MultiMedia/VideoPlayer....

Rudy Giuliani - "The tape that I saw before, uh, which I urge Ed to show to every American... Because it says a lot more than whatever speech John Kerry is going to give tonight. On that tape, Kerry explains the vote against the $87 billion appropriation. And these are John Kerry's words. I quote, and nothing could tell you more about him than this quote, "I actually voted for the appropriation before I voted against it". Does that tell you everything you need to know about John Kerry?..."

No, but it tells me everything I need to know about Rudy Giuliani. Rudy is smart enough to know how appropriations bills work, but he assumes that YOU aren't.

Anytime a Democrat has anything nice to say about this lying, opportunistic, son-of-a-bitch, give them this quote.

3. I agree
Edited on Sun Aug-29-04 08:28 AM by Catt03
and if you are a woman, remember when he paraded Judith around town and had her in the mayor's mansion WITH his wife before they were divorced.

Sorry...that still pisses me off. I wish the Democrats would run the news from that time and show that soap opera of Guiliani's so called Republican "moral" character.

4. What happened to Timmy?, you ask...
Here's a man who was brought up as a blue collar Democrat. Praises his father for the sacrifices he made and how he pulled himself up by his bootstraps. Honored Democratic ideals for years until...

he became a rich son-of-a-bitch being an infotainer. Now he does his (corporate) Master's bidding.

There are some who were brought up poor, struck it rich, and retained their populist ideals, e.g. Bill Clinton... then there are the the Uppeties like Russert who sell out their heritage for the power and the purse.

Russert is a genuine :puke: now!

8. I'm so sick
I had to turn off the TV. I was going to try to watch some of the shows and rnc this week, just to get an idea of what is going down and listen to their rhetoric and lies. But... Who am I kidding, I couldn't even make it through Rudy's interview.

Aaarrgghh! (excuse the primal scream, I had to get it out)

11. Right wing bias!
Timmy hammers Hillary on Kerry's IWR vote and $87 billion vote.

He doesn't ask Giuliani about the lies that led us into the Iraq war, or how Iraq was not connected to 9/11.

- 25,000 liters of anthrax
- 38,000 liters of botulinum toxin
- 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent
- 30,000 munitions capable of delivering chemical agents
- several mobile biological weapons labs
- Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa
- 30,000 munitions capable of delivering chemical agents. Inspectors recently turned up 16 of them, despite Iraq's recent declaration denying their existence. Saddam Hussein has not accounted for the remaining 29,984 of these prohibited munitions
- Iraqi refugees tell us how forced confessions are obtained: by torturing children while their parents are made to watch. International human rights groups have catalogued other methods used in the torture chambers of Iraq: electric shock, burning with hot irons, dripping acid on the skin, mutilation with electric drills, cutting out tongues, and rape. If this is not evil, then evil has no meaning.

20. Why is Giuliani on a partisan point/counter point format program
on federal policy against a U.S. Senator? Giuliani never served in a federal legislative capacity. The closest he's come was when he almost ran against Hillary for U.S. Senate until he developed a case of prostate cancer. Giuliani has only served in municipal governments. This is apples and oranges. Russert knows it, too. That gives him an excuse from having to ask the same tough questions on federal policy that he's throwing at Hillary.

MTP has become little more than a kangaroo court to promote the Republican cause. Russert has gotten so full of himself that his credibility is decreasing with each show. But, I understand he has to answer to his masters at NBC, which is owned by General Electric, which is a major defense contractor, which make out like thieves when Republicans are in power, declaring war on everybody.

21. Rudy Giuliani is a "Kerry Catholic" prochoice, pro gay rights.
Kerry Catholics will be featured speakers at the RNC. Pataki and Schwarzenegger are "Kerry Catholic", prochoice and pro gay rights.

However, when the cameras aren't on them, the Republicans rant AGAINST "Kerry Catholics" as not real Catholics.
