McCain to politicize hurricane
"McCain said in an interview with NBC that it was possible he would make his acceptance speech not from the convention podium but via satellite from the Gulf Coast region."

5. Is he going to bring a cake?
If we had real news they would be sure to show America how he reacted to Katrina. The ONLY reason he is giving this attention is because it is during a campaign. He's such an ass.

7. He already has gone there, meeting with that idiot Haley Barbour in Mississippi.
and appearing to introduce Repuke convention people before announcement of changes at the convention.

:puke:

9. WWOD?
Obama would hold a tastefully subdued convention in the original location if it wasn't another Katrina. If it was another Katrina, he'd make arrangements with the networks to have a celebration event at a later time and do a minimal official nomination and acceptance at the original location.

Obama just does things with class.

to associate in people's minds right away:

When you think "McCain"--Think "Disaster!"

12. It is another desperate hail mary
But the media is already preparing to help him out very much like in the VP selection where they claim palin is an independent maverick. McCain has no substance and nothing to offer the American people except to play little political theater to grab attention so the issues are not discussed. The hurricane is a godsend to him since Bush/Cheney "cannot" be present.

So be prepared to be annoyed at CNN et al. for drooling at his acceptance speech given from a devastated location and being annoyed with the media claiming that McCain has officially distanced himself from Bush. Mark my words!
That's their plan.
