3. Don't count your chickens...

...before they come home to roost. I don't think they know how to act like Americans.

8. You mean put on an act?
They are trying to repair the bitter left-over taste of their actions during and after Katrina. This time, McBush is not going to be caught having his birthday cake (convention celebration) while NO drowns.

Seriously, it's absolutely sickening but wait, what's even more obscene is that people allow or deceive themselves into believing it.

Seriously sickening.

10. Katrina gave Bush and the republicans an incompetent and an ugly image throughout the entire world.
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 06:48 PM by avaistheone1
America can not be the leader of the free world and treat it most vulnerable citizens the way people in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast were treated. It was an utter failure of this neocon republican leadership.

11. Correction: It takes a THIRD major huricase
since they screwed up Katrina & Rita so badly.

Maybe the third time is the charm. Or maybe it's because this one has a male name and the 2 they messed up on had female names. (no, not really....)

12. Because they learned the last time that the majority of Americans can
empathize with other humans and did not want to follow their lead & their glee at a city in america being lost...even if it was a democratic & poor one.
