The reason we have to stop the Palin attacks, Notice her first few speeches

They aren't going to have her attack our ticket. They plan on using her to just be there and look pretty. And say over and over how she is going to break the so called glass ceiling. Attacking her is a big time trap. Because they aren't going to let her go after Obama and Biden. I don't even think she has said Obama or Biden YET.

I beg people to not make her look like an innocent victim. Which is what Rove and crew are counting on.

It's a largely instinctual response. Remember how Rick Lazio was seen as a malevolent, bullying, stalker/rapist when he crossed the stage toward Hillary with a piece of paper in his hand? Regardless of his intentions, demeanor, personality, politics, etc., that move set off a "threat response" with a LOT of people. I recall the RW pundits decrying how Hillary was now going to pull in support from people who saw her as the "innocent victim."

Now... what could a RW campaign manager/adviser have possibly learned from that episode, hmmm?

Part of the campaign has to be to point out her record and her insane positions on abortion, Iraq, etc. Personal and family attacks should be off limits but attacks on her politics and positions is part of the game.
