She is just not that interesting
Neither is McCain. Remember the picture of Obama getting out of his vehicle with his sun glasses on. Next thing you know there is a picture of McCain trying to look as "cool" as Obama. McCain is jealous of Obama, jealous that people are compelled by his message and story, and especially jealous that people actually want to see and hear Obama. Does anyone actually want to have McCain around.

I believe the pick of Palin was completely based in McCain's deep-seated envy of Obama. People are paying more attention to the McCain campaign and inevitably compare Palin to Obama. McCain can only get attention by playing off Obama. Poor McCain, no one is interested in him for his own sake. Obama does NOT need McCain for anything, so I believe Obama has more control of the direction of this election. The McCain/Palin ticket is wanna-be version of the Obama?Biden ticket.

However, all this emphasis on Palin's baby just shows that Palin is also very uninteresting. There is no compelling message there, no story to help you understand why she is willing to undertake the candidacy for teh VP. Why? Because there is no conviction behind her acceptance of the VP candidacy. Didn't she just say recently that she doesn't even know what the VP does, that she doesn't think much of Iraq. In the primaries people were talking about how the campaign is like a job interview. Can anyone (and I literally mean anyone) honestly say that they would hire someone for a position if during the interview they said they didn't even know what the job entailed? That is just craziness. She would have had to have known she was under consideration for the position when she said this. That anyone would actually vote for someone who took the position so lightly and had such a dismissive attitude toward it is just insane.

People are focused on the baby story (that she hid her daughter's pregnancy and claimed her daughter's pregnancy as her own) because there is not much else there to focus on (an empty suit/ an empty dress/ an empty bear skin). Did she have a baby or didn't she? It should be incredibly embarrassing to republicans that this is the most compelling question their candidate inspires.

4. It is not about Palin
It is about McCain and McCain's motivation for picking someone so bizarre. It is primarily a McCain is jealous post and can think of no other way to get attention ... well, I guess he can get attention by running into the path of a Hurricane too (just like Heaven's Gaters can get attention by hitching a ride on a comet). Running into the path of a hurricane, picking Palin as VP = reckless, reckless choices.

8. Oh I see. Well, not really, if that was what you meant, why did you write something else?
Curiouser and curiouser.

But, hey, now we know what you REALLY meant, it's all good. :hi:

10. All illustrations of McCain's desperate desire for attention
though I did add a bit extra about Palin because I think the interest in Palin will be short-lived, a flash in the pan, because there is no substance to it.
