Photographic PROOF That McCain Doesn't Give a DAMN about the People of New Orleans

If he goes down there to politicize Gustav, these ought to be on the front page of every newspaper and blog.

1. Didn't he later vote against measures to help Katrina people?
(too lazy to check this morning!)

2. Indeed. It's very cynical how they're handling this, just like his VP pick.
It's disgusting to politicize human suffering and disaster like they are trying to do. New Orleans residents know who helped them out and this isn't going to change their minds. They will look like hypocrites trying to paint themselves as heroes.

3. Yesterday McSame gave the Dems the gift of a sound bite
in which he solemnly proclaims that it's wrong to celebrate in the face of a natural disaster. I sincerely hope the people putting together Obama's ads don't miss a golden opportunity. Use that clip followed by the cake pic with the caption: John McCain on August 29, 2005. Then a quick montage of Katrina pics also captioned August 29, 2005. Then a voiceover: Is this another flip-flop Senator McCain? Then, "I'm Barack Obama and I approved this message."

4. His votes are the actual proof, however the photos are great. Check these out
September 14 McCain voted AGAINST the Katrina Commission

A few weeks after the disaster, McCain voted against establishing a congressional commission that would study the response to Katrina. He opposed it again in 2006. As Factcheck.org reports, when asked earlier this year why he voted against creating the Katrina commission, McCain denied doing so. “McCain responded that he ‘supported every investigation and ways of finding out what caused the tragedy.’ That’s not true, the Web site states.

What’s more, (On September 15) McCain voted against extending unemployment benefits to the victims of the hurricane and spending $28 billion for hurricane relief.

McCain told Newsweek in April that he hadn’t come up with any plans for a still-recovering Gulf Coast. “I really don’t know,” he told Newsweek’s Holly Bailey.

So how will he deliver on his promise that a tragedy like Katrina “will never happen again”?

ALSO:
on November 3, 2005 McCain voted AGAINST Medicaid access for victims
On February 2, 2006 McCain votes AGAINST the Katrina Commission AGAIN
