If they cancel the convention, McSame can appear to be a super guy who put his plans on the back burner for the "people of new orleans".

Plus, we wouldnt get to see prime time speeches from the electric McSame and eloquent Palin. They dont want to run in the sunshine, they'd rather exist in the margins when they can use hints and fear and innuendo to go against Obama/Biden.

Maybe they were praying to be rained out and not just Obama's outdoor speech.

7. Now Bush & Cheney won't be at the convention, which I'm sure is a relief for the McCain campaign.

now neither Bush or Cheney will embarrass the Repugs.

They were looking for some excuse - any excuse - and now they have one.

Overall the RNC couldn't hold a candle to the show at the DNC. They would look very bad by comparison. So actually - all this is really working into the favor of the Repugs. They'll be able to get a lot of mileage out of this storm.

Nothing has changed. They are still preying on the lives of the people that will be affected by this storm as they did during Katrina.

Also is McCain appearing today in a storm-affected area so he can be the one who calls the RNC wouldn't it look so noble and Maverick of him if he said - after being down here and seeing firsthand what these people are up against - I just can't justify holding a convention and celebrating me when they are facing this calamity. So I'm asking that my nomination be handled in the quickest manner possible and that RNC convention be canceled and we Repugs do everything possible to help these poor people that will be ravaged by this storm.

The MSM would just gush over this decision and he'd get both the maverick and pity vote.

Problem is if they turn the RNC into a fund raiser - it will compete with the Jerry Lewis MD Telethon.

9. Houses? POW. Convention? Hurricane.
It will be the best excuse for a miserable convention.
