We all trust this election isn't a beauty contest
Unfortunately, for a significant segment of the population, that is essentially all it is. As much as DU'ers want to believe voters will choose wisely as long as the issues at stake are kept in the spotlight, many in this country simply don't know or don't care as much about a candidate's qualifications as they do whether an 'R' or 'D' appears beside their name on the ballot. And, for many more, single issues such as abortion justify putting a person into power who may well prematurely end the lives of infants, children, men and women in an unjust or illegal war.

I laughed with everyone else when Magoo trotted out his trophy VP pick. I think Joe will have trouble containing that grin of his during a debate with her. But I know better than to predict a spectacular meltdown of Magoo's campaign simply because the Vogue Governor utterly lacks the experience he has been hammering on Obama about. Faux will not be the only media outlet furiously attempting to ignore substance and push her image: A Well Liked Maverick And A WOMAN, TOO!

The American Idol voter will have no problem voting for the Magoo/Governor Vogue ticket if she is seen as sufficiently grounded in the same nonsense they are.

Or if she looks better in heels than Joe Biden.
