Palin= True-Believer Fundamentalist in White House. She's On The Ticket For Keeps
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 08:06 AM by cryingshame
She's a Fundie who is helping whip the extremists into an enthusiastic frenzy.

And this helps DOWN TICKET RACES where Republicans are getting slaughtered in polls right now.

And it's not just the Extreme Fundies, either.

I can just imagine what all the conservative scrapbooking SAHM's are feeling right now.

Palin= Hey ladies, you TOO can be in the White House.

So IMO, there are limits to any benefit the Left can accrue in attacking Palin's resume except to say it's slim.

But it's not just her being a Fundie that got her on the ticket... or the bogus maverick narrative...

She's down with Big Oil. My first instinct was to call her Big Oil's "Bitch" but that'd just get her more sympathy.

She's Big Oil's Lackey. She hates Polar Bears. They get in the way of oil drilling.

And apparently, she has serious ethical issues when it comes to governance.

Abuse of power in getting people fired for her own personal vendetta, culling phone numbers from government files for her own political agenda, incompetent budgeting, ignoring scientific data in making decisions... ALLOWING HER HUSBAND TO SIT IN ON MEETINGS & RECEIVE GOVT COMMUNICATIONS.

There are a lot of things that can drive up her negatives. The circumstances of that baby's birth is not one of them.

5. Palin's belief in a 6000-year-old universe is very disturbing to me.
This view not only rejects all scientific conclusions regarding the history of the planet and the universe, it rejects science itself. How can America regain its competitive position in the world with anti-science leaders with crazy religious beliefs?

Putting Gramps and Gramma in the White House would be yet another in a series of suicidal moves by America. Apparently the Republicans are upset that the country still exists (sort of) after eight years of bushit and they hope to finish the job for good with these cretins.

The mind boggles.

7. someone quipped, how can we be using FOSSIL FUELS if universe is only 6000 years old
It's a complete rejection of rationality.

And politics are not about rationality anyway. Politics is about appealing to people emotionally using symbols and catch phrases.

Politics is manipulating people to support your policy.

9. Agree, but btw, not all scrapbooking SAHM's are conservative.
I'm a very liberal atheist SAHM. I don't scrapbook, but have friends that do, and they are for Obama.
