1. The mcpow camp has admitted that that argument had run its course
and wouldn't be used anymore. They got nothing, except racism.

2. Of course he can
And he will. And the traditional media won't question this BS at all.

and the media has already noted that.

6. It just is a stunningly retarded pick on ALL levels ...
First and foremost, he managed to pick someone who by ANY objective view is not in any way shape or form qualified for the position.

Second, he had dragged himself from a moderate deficit to pretty much even by going Rovian and kitchen sink, and the primary and most effective attacks were 1) People don't know him 2) He was a celebrity 3) He had no experience.

SOMEHOW, in addition to passing over HUNDREDS of people more qualifed for the job, he SOMEHOW found someone who totally mitigated two of the three main attacks he had people don't have the first clue who this lady is and she has ZERO experience. Not only does it take away from his ability to use those attacks, he now has to DEFEND against them.

It just is STUNNING, beyond comprehension from a campaign standpoint that he took what HAD been an effective means of attack, with the MSM having NO interest in questioning him in ANY way, and both took his main attacks away AND opened himself up to those very attacks.

I have spent the last few weeks in complete fear that he would be able to get past his ego and pick Romney, I WANTED Pawlenty to not have to face Romney, and somehow this idiot picked someone who makes Pawlenty look like Romney.

I told people for weeks, IF he had taken Romney, the MSM would have annointed that as the PERFECT ticket - McCain as the UNQUESTIONED foreign policy guru and Romney as the UNQUESTIONED economic guru. The media was DYING to get this pair, and IMO would have shut BO and Biden out. Not to mention that Romney, electorally would have helped to block some of BO's hopes to pick up midwestern states with maxed out mormon turnout, and given him a shot in Michigan (and again, Palin offers NOTHING electorally).

Watching BO and Biden yesterday, Biden hammered McCain on foreign policy and BO hammered him on economics. It was a formidable one two punch. IF McCain had taken Romney, it would be one pair of heavy weights facing another pair of heavy weights, with the media on McCain/Romney's side.

NOW, you have BO and Biden very quickly coming together, McCain fighting with no real partner, and the MSM clearly (and, we can NEVER underestimate their ability to find ways to serve the republican party) dazed and confused how to spin this pick positively and unable to even begin to find a consolidated meme to protect the McCain ticket with.

It just is the most retarded possible pick this moron could come up with, and that is leaving out the fact that he didn't vet her, and this woman is like someone out of a Jerry Springer show - who KNOWS what goofy A nonsense is going to turn up about her.
