I couldn't care less about Palin's ruptured membranes.
I don't give a damn about her degree in Journalism from the University of Idaho. I have no interest in her daughter's mono, her parents' taxidermy-nightmare of a living room, or her husband's hemorrhoids. None of these things have any serious, verifiable value as talking points.

She's a woman who opposes the civil liberties of women, because she's privileged; the truly tough choices that other women face aren't even slightly a concern to her. She thinks that a raped woman should be forced to give birth to her attacker's child. She thinks that taxpayers should foot the bill to teach public school kids that God made the world, and that we should all pretend that it's science. She wants to rape and plunder ANWR for extremely short-term profit. She abuses power to seek petty revenge. She wants to censor library books. She's a coward who uses a loophole to break the federal law that forbids murdering wolves from the air. She left her small town twenty-million-dollars in debt. She's clueless enough to think that running a town of a few thousand people is somehow MORE "experience" than being a legislator or a Senator. She has a history of shipping jobs out of America. She's LITERALLY in bed with Big Oil. She has the gravitas and dignity of a fucking Bratz doll with her "Yup Yup's." She doesn't even know what the Vice President does, much less how to run the country if and when gramps would keel over, and the closest thing she has to foreign policy experience probably involves buying a couple of items from China on eBay.

That's the stuff that really matters to me, in the end. It's what we can prove, and it's what we can hammer her with. The rest is lurid speculation, and serves only to give her a sympathy advantage with the voters, because we'll be painted as the Big Meanies who were "picking on her." This is not exactly an unheard-of phenomenon, as most of you may recall. It might be prudent to start hammering her for the stuff that people aren't going to pity her over, ya know?

Just my observations.

4. thank you
I made a thread saying basically the same thing and i got attacked. People think Palin is a fat juicy target when she actually isnt, a lot of these attacks on her are silly.

5. Yes, just as Kerry got a sympathy vote because the
Republicans were "big meanies" when they picked on him.

Give me a break.

8. No, but Clinton did. Do you recall New Hampshire?
There was a very strong sentiment at the time that Clinton did so well in NH because NH voters perceived her as being "picked on" by the "boys." I was a Clinton supporter at the time, so I was fine with whatever it took to win, but this is not a primary anymore, and an Obama/Biden win is my focus now.

Voters seem to have a tendency to feel more sympathy for a female candidate, especially one that's considered an underdog. It would likely help us enormously to keep this in mind. We can strip away that advantage by staying away from subjects that seem "pitiable", and her kids/personal life is definitely one of those subjects unless solid proof arises of wrongdoing.

12. exactly
Also in general people like rooting for the little guy (or girl) that is fighting the insiders and the elite, I think it helped Obama a lot when people made fun of him being a state senator 5 years ago and it helped Hillary when insiders where declaring Obama the winner before the NH vote

6. You gotta be kidding.
Incredible. You really believe library books and loopholes in hunting laws are better talking points than

1. She either faked her pregnancy to cover up her teenage daughter's or
2. She recklessly endangered her baby's life or
3. She made up a completely wackjob lie in order to exploit her son's birth for publicity

Really? No wonder we lose so many elections.

Those are the only possibilities from that wild flying-after-water-breaking story of hers.
