What are the Ron Paul supporters going to do in November --
does anybody know?

I'm wondering if they'll write in Ron Paul, stay home (both good, in my book) or cave and vote for McCain (not good).

I don't know how many supporters he really has, so not sure if they would be a real force come election day.

2. They'll vote Barr over McCain.
Kind of a silly question.

10. Well they'd probably know that Barr wouldn't win, so of the two
viable candidates, maybe McCain would be the lesser of two evils, and they might vote for him.

I didn't think it was a silly question, otherwise I wouldn't have asked it.

18. Your reasoning is ridiculous.
They're still advocating Ron Paul over McCain...and you think all of a sudden they'll stop deadending?

They're not even Republicans, for Christ's sake. They're Libertarians.

I was trying to be nice when I said it was a silly question. The truth is that it's a horribly stupid question.

20. You were trying to be NICE?
You must be a wonderful person to be around.

Thanks for insulting my reasoning even further.

17. There are Ron Paul signs leaning against all sides of my house. *sigh*
My husband took them down, but he has yet to put them away.

If Hillary had been Obama's VP, my husband had vowed to write in Ron Paul. (He's an independent and hates the Clintons.) But he's planning on voting for Obama now. For him, the Iraq War is the deal breaker. Hubby wants a candidate who will end the war and bring home the troops.

There are quite a number of Ron Paul supporters

There is going to be a Ron Paul Convention in MN the same time as the Republican Convention

There is dissension amongst Republicans

That dissension among Republicans is greater than that among Democrats

The dissension among Democrats was largely a contrived narrative fed to the mediawhores by Rove and RNC operatives

Democrats would do well to focus on Ron Paul and Bob Barr the way Republicans and their mediawhores did Hillary

Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Nader are drawing more votes from Republicans than Democrats

Polls rarely show the "spoilers" on the Republican side, but they give Obama a wider lead

That you don't grasp any of that is very, very sad.

9. Yeah, sure, they'll be about as much a force as the LaRouche morons were.
What's "very, very sad" is the state of mind of the pathetic, delusional Paulistas, however many of them there may be.

8. quite a few more than that...
(not that you'd know it from the Media that was looking under chairs for Obama-hating Hillary supporters last week)

Ron Paul followers gathering for own convention

Washington (AP) The Republican National Convention will have company next week in Minnesota.

More than 9,700 tickets have been sold for Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic in Minneapolis.

Followers of the Texas Republican are hitching rides in "Ronvoys" and plan to pitch tents at Ronstock '08 in defiance of the GOP convention in St. Paul.

The rally hopes to bring together activists who are anti-war, anti-government regulation, anti-immigration, anti-taxes, and pro-civil liberties.

14. Majority of people who are in finance and collect gold and silver go Ron Paul. My mum loves him.
My mum moved to Obama. However I know many who are writing him in. He has a fan club you wouldn't believe.

4. Most will get on board with the Republican't nominee
Some will vote Barr

Some will sit home

The fun with them begins the day after Obama is elected. Then the party of drilling will have a "fight for it's soul." Should be interesting.

These people ARE NOT REPUBLICANS.

Why can't DUers wrap their minds around these people being Libertarians? That's what most of them self-identify as!

They HATE Bush.
They HATE McCain.
They HATE Ghouliani.
They HATE Thompson.
They HATE Huckabee.
They HATE Romney.

They LOVE anyone who talks about turning America into a walled fort with no government.

21. Ron Paul represents roughly 10% of conservatives
Really big with the Libertarians in places like CO, NV, NM, MN. I think he and Barr could cause some trouble for McCain in these states, especially if we keep it close.

I know from anecdotal experience a few will vote for McCain, for reasons unknown.

I've been hearing a lot of the Ron Paul people saying that Obama's already been picked by the all powerful international banking cabal (I think they just called it 'the Jews' back in the day. haha) So they wont vote for Obama.

But we can definately put the info out there that would turn Ron Paul people off from McCain.
