Do the Dems have a convention week strategy?
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 03:34 PM by Onlooker
Do you think the Dems have anything planned for convention week? Or do you think they'll simply rely on the protests? I'm sure Rove has a lot of clever ideas planned for the Repug convention. I hope the Dems do something that shows imagination, gets media attention, and embarrasses the Repugs, but I'm afraid Kerry's team is not exactly teeming with imagination. (Let's face it, even the Dem Convention, as good and effective as it was, looked like something from the Reagan years.)

2. Yes.
It basically consists of praying that Hurricane Frances hits Florida right around/after Bush's speech. The media will then be forced to divide their attention between camping-out somewhere on Florida's east coast.. and the GOP convention. We'll see pretty much the same types of videos that came from Charley (torn buldings, debris flying, waves crashing, etc).. and Bush's convention bounce will be blunted by Mother Nature.

3. Bill clinton speaks at NY'S Riverside church on convention eve
Hillary is leading the truth squad complete with a media war room. Kerry surrogates are opening up the AWOL attack with Wes today and tomorrow along with Howard on Late Edition. Should be interesting.

5. We have a rapid response team
similar to the one the Republicans had during our convention. Don't expect it to get a lot of attention, though. Even the republican one didn't get much play. Convention weeks belong to the party throwing it.
