McCain/Palin in PA: 5,000 in attendance. Obama/Biden in OH: 19,000
"It is so good to be here in Steeler Country!" Palin told about 5,000 supporters at a minor league ballpark here, about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh. Members of the crowd, including some from nearby Ohio and West Virginia, chanted, "Sarah! Sarah! Sarah!"

Estimates had the crowd at the sprawling suburban high school as high as 19,000. Local campaign officials said it was larger than expected, especially given that this Saturday was the highest of holy days in Central Ohio: the day of home football game for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

4. Percentage of local population makes this even more lop-sided
Pittsburgh PA is a large city to only have 5,000 show

but

Dublin, OH is a small town to have 19,000 show

It's very relative & telling!

5. Anyone know exactly where in Pittsburgh McCain appeared?
I live in the Pittsburgh area, I don't consider West Virginia or Ohio "nearby".

7. I saw "them" in Washington, PA on Cspan several hours ago
It figures that part of Pennsylvania would have a city named "Washington". He served there in the British Army.

9. The Pittsburgh venue only holds 6-7 k when it is concert
seating. So I guess it was a bit empty looking. I'll have to force myself to watch our local news tonight and see what coverage they get.
