1. What kind of requirement?
I think that for anyone to be President, they should have a reasonably high IQ.

5. IQ s a lousy measure of performance.
At best, it's a general indicator of memorization and cognitive abilities.

4. I say get rid of the age 35 requirement and replace it with something totally new.
Require at least either a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Unless I'm mistaken, there's no such requirement now.

8. Yes, and require that a candidate has at least 6 teeth!
Seriously, what difference would a GED requirement make?

10. Same difference as the age 35 requirement.
If the voters want to have as President a particular person who is under 35, then they're out of luck until the constitution is amended to reduce the minimum from 35 to something else such as 21.

13. Ok, you got me there.
The age 35 requirement IS kinda arbitrary.

11. The requirements will continue to apply for some time.
They are not of mere academic, historical interest.

12. I vote no
We already have too many requirements just to have a fighting chance (e.g. Christian, married, flawless personal/private life, etc.).

17. When the Republicans are in power, do you want them controlling
the types of tests that are being performed and evaluating the results for our candidates?

Because I kinda don't.
