Questions that if answered might give us clues as to whether Trig is Palin's son
Edited on Sat Aug-30-08 03:07 PM by Martinucho
It is unwise to accuse anyone of anything without having definite proof; however, weirder stuff has happened in this world. Who would ever expect a politician to rub feet with a guy in a bathroom? Or John Edwards to have a kid outside his marriage and (possibly) paying his lover money to keep her mouth shut?

Anyway, I remain neutral about this Palin issue because I set a high bar in order to be convinced of anything.
These are the answers that would likely help me reach a conclusion:

1-) What was the weight of Palin's baby in question at birth? If he was very light, say, 4 or 5 pounds, we wouldn't have a strong case in pointing out her small belly in the pictures that we've seen today. If the baby weighed say, 7 pounds or more, then we should be right in wondering why there are no pictures of Palin with a big round belly.

2-) Are there any pictures online of Palin with a big belly? As a governor, she was likely to be photographed nearly every day, and I assume that babies that are 7 months or older would make a woman look fatter than usual. She gave birth when the fetus was 8 months old.

3-) Did Palin's 16 year old daughter --who is accused of being the real mother-- stop attending school around April, the month of the birth? Did she complete her school year in June as most other kids of that age? Are there photographs of her showing a big belly around February or March? If not, was she being hidden from the press?

4-) Can doctors and/or nurses who helped deliver the baby tell us who's the mother? I don't buy the story that privacy keeps doctors/nurses from discussing the matter, since if true, because would be a case of falsely impersonating another person, which I assume is illegal when it comes to deciding who's the parent of a baby.

Those who believe Palin is lying should try to answer most or all of these questions.

1. First of all, the baby in question is a boy.

And HIPAA regulations prevent any healthcare provider from discussing this.

2. And does the baby have a birth certificate? And will they produce the certificate?
Was the baby born on U.S. Soil.

Who is listed as the father?

Did Palin have coked out sex with LArry Sinclair in the back of a limo?

3. Who. The. Fuck. Cares?
Why is this an issue to you people?

...and how nuts no you look going wild about it?

Why not just look at the baby's birth certificate? It's public record and it has the mother's name on it.

7. This is as bad as the Obama birth certificate "scandal".
I wish it weren't flourishing here. It's embarrassing and it's basically a distraction that would completely backfire on us.

Lack of experience = YES
Scandalous maybe baby = NO

9. Bingo!
I actually had somebody tell me "You're a man. You don't know shit." when I pointed out that none of us knew the medical specifics of the case (when she flew from Texas to Alaska).

10. She's the governor and could use that clout to hide things
The issue again is not that her daughter had pre-marital sex, but that, if ttue, Sarah palin is a liar big time. The picture I saw of the daughter seemed to show quite a bulge. On the other hand, the mother never showed.

19. Anybody with a sympathetic doctor could do the same.
Jesus, there's absolutely no proof of this. The daughter looks like a lot of pampered, overfed, underexercised 16-year-old girls and the mother is apparently one of those women who doesn't show.

Even if it IS true, do you think that's a wise lie to exploit? It'd make her a very sympathetic figure...

"Yes, my daughter made a mistake, but I love her and didn't want her to be stigmatized by this mistake. I wanter her to have a normal life. In retrospect, what I did wasn't honest, but I did it because I love my daughter."

...and that's the BEST case scenario. At worst, we look like a bunch of rabid loons.

But I agree that this isn't going to go anywhere. It's like the Obama birth certificate or Larry Sinclair stuff.

12. That picture has to be about 2 years old. It says the son is 17. He was 18 when he joined
the military in September of 2007.

14. Don't spread lies. That picture has been debunked, it was taken in 2006.
In order for her to be the mother (in this nonsense), she'd have to have been pregnant in mid 2007 and showing in the middle of fall or so.

6. I believe the birth weight has been posted elsewhere at 6lb 2oz
Which is small for a full-term baby but not critically so. Others have posted that Down Syndrome babies are also often underweight; 6+ pounds at 36 weeks might be fine for a normal baby, or it might be a Down baby at 39 weeks.

17. Not all women look the same at 6 months. My cousin looked ready to give birth at 3 months.
My other cousin didn't look ready to give birth UNTIL she gave birth. Each woman is different and so showing a picture of one woman who looks athletic as the generic look for all women is nonsensical.

18. There is an extremely wide range of "normal"
for how each woman looks at each stage of pregnancy.

I barely showed until four months and by six months, I looked like I was smuggling a small watermelon under my shirt. By nine months I was fucking huge and had a nine pound baby.

It depends on the woman's frame, her height, how she's carrying, the size of the baby, plain old genetics, how much weight she's gained, tons of stuff.

There's no way you can tell this stuff from pictures, basically. Ask anyone who has ever tried to predict celebrity pregnancies.

16. Give it a rest
There's plenty of real issues that draw a stark contrast between extremest Palin and most of America.
