Not that many people really thought it was a serious possibility, but there can't be any swap or drop out now. The GOP is stuck with the McCain/Palin ticket, IMO.

If you think this pick is insulting to women as it is right now, imagine if they just dumped her because it looked like they'd lose with her, or made her (or McCain) drop out because of it. I think you'd have even some of the fundie nutjob women switching over at that point, or at the least not voting.

1. She will use her Down Syndrome child and a new medical problem as the reason.

2. Doesn't matter. Some people will believe she was forced out.
And smart liberal's will hammer that idea across.

3. Thomas Eagleton
I think McCain can dump her at any time up until the convention. I really don't know (legally) how it works after that. Has a VP candidate ever withdrawn or died prior to the Election?

6. Legally, he sure can. And I hope he does.
I wasn't talking about the legality of it.

8. I believe as long as she does not accept the nomination, he's free
and clear to dump her. I agree, she will go the way of Harriet. The health situation of her child would be a no brainer and they would all save face....LOL, did I really say that?
