If John McCain picked a Loaf of Bread, what would the media say?
I always thought it'd be funny to give somebody a Christmas present that was absurdly awful, and watch them having to say good things about it to be polite. I don't think I'd ever actually do that, but I can imagine it. ("Wow! I don't have one of these...")

The media's reaction to Palin yesterday is about the same. They are struggling to come up with something, anything, to say about this. It's about on the level of what they'd have to say if McCain had put a loaf of bread on the ticket.

"It's the first time Republicans have nominated a Loaf of Bread!"

"Loaf of Bread is not the typical Washington pick -- a real maverick!"

"People can really relate to a Loaf of Bread."

"Loaf of Bread doesn't have much experience, but could really add starch to this ticket!"

Etc...

3. Depends on the loaf of bread...
FOX Noise correspondent: "John McCain has chosen a loaf of Mrs. Baird's Honey 7-Grain as his VP running mate. This loaf will sit will with most American voters, but is also diverse enough to bring something to the ticket. It's a little crusty, but it has a soft side, which should appeal to female voters in the western states."

7. This cuts to the heart of the Repugs' VP choice
They harbor so much contempt for the American people that they will run a dry-drunk sociopath, a three-legged dog, or a loaf of bread for high office without a hint of irony.

"This Loaf of Bread can really connect with the carbohydrate, common-man crowd. I mean, what do these people eat nearly every day? BREAD! It's sheer political brilliance on the part of McCain and the GOP yet again."

And then some stupid Dems would go on about how it's a "LILTE" (Loaf I'd Like To Eat), and the KKK would make sure everyone understood that this is a VITAL choice between good American WHITE bread and that scary brown bread that Other people eat.

20. Consider all the places we find bread in the Bible...
The Book of Ecclesiastes says "Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days." The Jews ate unleavened bread before fleeing Egypt. Jesus fed the 5,000 with five loaves and two fishes. When he was starving, Satan tried to tempt him to turn stones into bread. He gave the disciples bread and said "Take, eat; this is my body." He called himself "the Bread of Life."

There simply could be no better choice to win the Judeo-Christian vote than a loaf of bread.
