New Republican talking point about Palin: Don't be "dismissive"
I think we need a good strategy on how to go against this. Ideas? :patriot:

1. "I'm not dismissive. I looked at her resume & find her severely underqualified."

6. No record?
She was in her first political position in 1992. At that time Hillary's Record was nothing other than being married to a man who liked to get knobed in the oval office by interns. Obama didn't become a State legislator till 96. Palin has more executive experience than both in fact.

Palin is a fine example of feminism and progress for women in this country. I personally don't think being a feminist is solely defined by a woman's willingness to scrambles her unborn babies brains. She didn't ride her husbands coattails to gain prominence, and is successful without sacrificing family. She is proof you can be a women can you can can have it all.

7. She's a Pat Buchanan Republican
Think about it. She heard Pat Buchanan's culture war speech and decided that he represented her political beliefs. Utterly disturbing.

8. Ookay....
The inexperienced and corrupt Palin is "a fine example of feminism and progress"?

The implication that part of being a feminist is "willing to scramble their unborn babies' brains"?

Are you sure you're in the right forum?

17. #6 paid blogger/14 year old neocon
If she was a feminist she wouldn't be caught dead with McCain, regardless of any abortion stance.

Screw the experience nonsense. What is she knowledgeable on? What are her policy ideas? Who does she inspire? What direction does she want to lead the country in? What does she believe?

Stupid Republicans. Jessie Helms with sweater pillows is no change at all!

Are you serious coming to a Democratic site and trying to push for someone with this woman's beliefs and stances? Why would we have the slightest interest in someone with less belief in Science than Pat Robertson and with similar beliefs?

At least play the angry Clinton supporter role. Straight up is never going to fly. This chick is to the right of Cheney but hasn't really thought about Iraq.

Don't tell me you have a serious candidate for ANY position, that hasn't thought about the situation in Iraq. That kind of statement means not only are you woefully underqualified for President (and therefore the VP) but really you'd have no place in a voting booth.
Only an idiot would state on national tv that you haven't thought about Iraq. One running for the 2nd highest office in the land dhould be told thanks but no thanks on the spot.

Sara Palin isn't DQ'd because of experience but because of her lack of knowledge, interest, or incite.

Seriously, you're going to argue that someone that hasn't thought about a war that her son is reporting to is capable of national office?
Her qualifications are that she is a corporate Theocrat, which satisfies the stupid and evil Republican party.

9. The GOP operatives are using the "she's got executive experience" line
to try to shut the criticism down about here.

So I wrote something similar to this here http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6828513

to like a bunch of newspapers, journalists and democratic operatives
to put a bug in their ear.

13. I saw that. They're trying the "Why does the WOMAN have to be more qualified" thing.
One Republican on MSNBC yesterday even said that "She's not running for PRESIDENT! Only vice president!"

15. Ask why, just over two months before the election....
...McCain has suddenly cast the central theme of his campaign to the wind?

Answer: because he's already lost.
