OMG!!! IS THAT HIS NURSEMAID?
Sarah Palin is the most UNQUALIFIED person ever to be put on a major presidential ticket. Dan Quayle was a genius by comparison. Sen. Biden, please proceed to tear her a new one.

1. Palin is not stupid. Quayle was stupid.

Let's not get things too mixed up here, ok?? There's no sign that I've seen that Palin is completely stupid like Quayle was. She's definitely not qualified to be vice-President, but I don't see any kind of celebration of mediocrity that we saw from Quayle.

Granted she doesn't know much about Iraq by her own admission. Well, the governor of Alaska would have little to do with that issue anyway. She wasn't expecting to be called on for this.

The Republicans just flinched and it shows.

2. Why in the world are they allowing her....
...to sit down with Newsweek and other media outlets???

Don't they need to train her, talk to her about what to say and what not to say?

I don't fricking get this. Are they trying to lose?

She sat in an interview with Newsweek, today, and pretty much said that she doesn't
know what McCains ideas on Iraq are. Clearly, she's not a pro in dealing with the
national press. Yet, they allowed her to give the interview and expose the fact
that she doesn't know what her running mate's position on a current war is????

Um, ok. Something is off here. Really off.

4. It's a hail Mary pass...

The Republicans are desperate, and it shows. They are out of touch and took a gamble that this would really galvanize the "feminist" vote. I actually did hear Palin called a "feminist" by some Republican pundits today on the TV.

8. Because they are putting her out there as if she were some kind of pit bull
against my better judgement I forced myself to watch some of the fawning and thats what they are doing, nothing about real issues, its all about how she is tough and against abortion for those that have gotten raped or even if their lives are at risk for carrying a pregnacy, she is a fundie, they are capatalizing on that to get the fundies back under their control, the rest is all american idol bs and america has proven how it loves american idol reality type stars

11. It's a complete embarrassment - just like Harriet Meiers was.

The next few months are going to like a slow train wreck. She's completely out of her league.

16. and many in the gop know this but this time is more serious than harriets nomination
they have alot to think about, do they want to win it bad enough to vote for that which they know in their hearts of hearts is not a responsible choice or will they hold their nose and do the bidding of their lords and masters and vote for the worst like they did two times before this nom?

17. I think a combination of things will happen...

I think

1) McCain will lose some of the "Bubba" vote, because there are plenty of men who will not vote for a woman on the ticket.

2) Independents will leave McCain's side in droves because the whole Palin thing is too stupid.

3) McCain will attract the fundie base with Palin, and maybe a handful of "feminist" who want to vote for a woman.

21. have you watched the media today? even the entertainment media is saying
she will gain votes because of this historic event what historic event? the only one I witnessed was Obama's speech...they hope to gain the huge fundie base, have their underlings, the preachers demand their flocks vote republican simply for her, they are attempting to pretend she is bringing mcbush up from the depths of low poll numbers, we are close to Nov. they are desperate and watch that desperation grow if the media does not continue to act as if this palin choice has turned the tide of voters once again from obama completely ignoring his ground breaking and masterful unequaled speech

5. Well just to be clear. My point is Dan Quayle was more qualified to be VP that she is.
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 10:36 PM by kwenu
She adds little to nothing to the Republican ticket that I can see other than the female gender and as my sister said earlier, "Surely McCain doesn't think women are stupid enough to fall for this." The jury is still out on just how intelligent she is because so far her interviews aren't showing much.

I'd agree with that...at least someone in Quayle's ..

...position would be more qualified. Quayle being the underachiever he was, should have gotten a handicap.
