2. I think Carville is pissed.
I think he was, for all intents and purposes, a PUMA heading out of the DNC. Very unhappy with the Obama nomination and working to undermine it. I think this pick actually brings him on board with an Obama election. He, personally, wanted Hillary to be the first Woman in the white house.

I saw him saying that too and he looked pissed. For the first time this primary and general election season, he was pissed at a candidate other than Obama.

8. I'm pissed!
If McCain gets elected there is an extremely good chance that Palin could have to step in. I don't want that freak to have the honor of being forever known as the first woman president.

18. No, it's actually not. Maybe not millions but certainly in the hundreds of thousands.

I am not a Hillary hater and if you look back to last week, Hillary was my second choice for VP. The operation chaos thing most certainly had an impact. Rush has Millions of listeners and he ordered them to go out and vote for Hillary. Certainly at least 1 out of 20 of his 20 Million listeners followed those orders. That would be around 1 million votes.

12. other than that he was horrible.....just sat there stuttering while the LOBBYIST
Pfotenhauer (looks like she stepped out of Vogue) talked rings around him, with bogus 'facts' that Carville was utterly unprepared to refute

very sad display, but typical

he was fuming, she was smiling away, very patronizingly, saying, "James, James...." as if he were some little hothead who didn't know what he was talking about

this is what infuriates me: the almost complete lack of any sort of competent surrogate corps on the dems' side

17. at least he could have mentioned that she was a LOBBYIST for big oil, just like over TWENTY other
top McCain strategists/spokespersons

WHY can't the dems use the ad that LISTED them sometimes?

their fecklessness is beyond disturbing, and the weakest part of the Obama campaign

the reason it's disturbing is that THESE are the people who should be out there holding the power of TV media back as much as possible, because you know how they've been carrying the deuterium for McCain so far, and it's only going to get more obvious as the campaign goes on

not ONE negative word about Palin so far, contrasted to the instant badmouthing of Biden on many fronts as soon as he was announced (plagiarist, foot in mouth, Obama criticizer, old-time insider, etc.). have you heard anything about Palin that reflects the myriad negatives already uncovered here, aside from Olbermann's show?

14. Begala was cracking me up at the top of the hour.
when he said "Aside from whether or not this will be effective...as a citizen...as a former white house aide...I think that this is completely reckless! As a citizen, this worries me! I think that it's crazy, and it makes me think that John McCain's CRAZY!"

25. He's normalizing it by using it. McCain is a total shit. Let's not act the way he does.
We're better than that.

22. a better response
I think Gov. Palin is an interesting pick, although I disagree with her on many points, but after listening to the right wing talk shows I have come to believe that McCain has been replaced on the ticket by her as a clever move by the conservative base of the party. And I think that is what Dems should point out: It seems as if the Repugs have a new person running for President-- is this really what the country wants?

19. Carville was funny, and he couldn't hold back laughing at the pick
McCain made a huge mistake thinking Palin would bring Hillary supporters. most of her supporters are insulted that they would compare Palin to her.

i think it is making it easier for many people who still had trouble supporting Obama to support him now.
