"Criticisms of her experience are more amusing then valid."
That was what some right-wing asshole on talk radio (Dorie Monson, on 710 KIRO here in Seattle I believe) said.

I mean, what is this crap about her "executive experience" and how it's more valid then everything Obama has done? How can they not understand how this yanks away the experience criticism against Obama?

1. Every independent analysis I've heard/read says that this pick takes away the main criticism
McCain had against Obama.

2. I was at work for much of the day and couldn't tune into the news much.
How much of that "independent analysis" actually made it onto the television?

7. They portrayed her as "risky"
Pretty much everybody was using terms like "risky" and "gamble". I thought that's how they wanted to portray Obama?

What a stupid pick. They give up the experience argument, they put McCain's age front and center, and they even give up the Wright/Ayers card since Palin was a Pat Buchanan supporter after he gave his "culture war" speech.

3. Ummm... have you not been paying attention.
Since when have logic, rationality and consistency become requirements for Right Wing commentary?

5. Oh, I have.
But I guess I just got lulled into complacency having heard this jack-ass all of my life, growing up in the Seattle area.

6. It's understandable.
Their audacity (as regards dishonesty) is monumental.

4. Pretty Amusing
Rob Portman, former GOP Congressman, defending Palin's lack of experience ('Road to the White House'-MSNBC):

"It's not how many years you are in office, it's what you do while you're in office."

Sounds like an endorsement of Obama.

And, by the way, McSame has zero "executive" experience, too -- he's been a legislator for over thirty years.
