It sounded like it, and I turned away because I couldnt watch him say it...something about it proves there is a God and a Heaven.

Edit: ON KO

2. Do you mean to imply that his statement should be forgotten/forgiven?
I say drop his fat ass into a rubber raft and put him in the Gulf, right in the path.

4. I mean it is a tastelss and thoughtless remark (not a joke)

but given his body of work, Fahrenhiet 9-11 and Sicko come to mind, and he caught himself after saying it I will give him the benefit of the doubt and move on. He was saying (in effect) that a massive hurricane at the same time of the Repub convention was a kind of poetic justice, but of course that completely disregards the human toll, which is obscene. But Moore caught himself and said he wished for everone there to be safe and out of harm's way.

Having said dumb things in my day and being imperfect, I prefer to move on. Moore is not Bill O'Rielly after all; he is well intentioned, and his mouth got ahead of him this time.

6. I wasn't watching, so I was not aware that he caught himself.
But, as someone who has never uttered a tactless, dumb or insensitive bit of idiocy in my life, I have very little patience with that sort of thing.

Just kidding, ma'am.

5. To the extent there might be a God as described in the bible, Gustav is His doing
not a question about it. He indeed rolls like dat.

Of course there is no such god, but most of America doesn't seem to know that.

7. I saw him say that, and it pissed me off.
That hurricane is deadly serious, and for him to root for it just so it can hit during the RNC was utterly crass.

8. As someone who lives on the coast and has to deal with this threat
every year, it did indeed piss me off. I generally like Michael Moore, but about once a year he says something so idiotic that I can't brush it off. What annoys me the most is that he would be such a better advocate for the left if he didn't get the annual case of verbal diarrhea.
