CBS News: Spy in the Pentegon was trading secret documents to ..
Isreal and may have seriously influenced the decision to go to war in Iraq as well as negatively influencing the Iran conflict!!!

I am sorry I do not have a link. It was the lead story on the CBS News.

The "mole" is a top senior Pentegon official with access to top-secret materials.

Gee...I wonder how Bush and Rumsfeld to try and spin this. :puke:

4. No not him...
This was apparently a "high-ranking" member of the Pentegon and the FBI is "wrapping up" the investigation and will announce the arrest.

This will make all the national news next week.

LOL: I'd love if this totally overshadows the RNC next week!

10. Chalabi was spying for Iran
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 05:52 PM by htuttle
Bushco had TWO spies making decisions about the war in Iraq. One from Iran, and at least one from Israel.

Getting to be a regular United Nations of espionage over there at Rumsfeld's Pentagon...

21. The person NJ gov McGreevey hired that accused him of sexual
harassment..he was brought in from Israel for a Homeland Security position in the state (I am paraphrasing the facts a bit) but from the get go, I thought it rather odd how it all came about...again..I'm merely speculating and have no solid evidence on which to support my suspicions.

The FBI believes it has "solid" evidence that the suspected mole supplied Israel with classified materials that include secret White House policy deliberations on Iran.

(CBS) CBS News has learned that the FBI has a full-fledged espionage investigation under way and is about to -- in FBI terminology -- "roll up" someone agents believe has been spying not for an enemy, but for Israel from within the office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon.

60 Minutes Correspondent Lesley Stahl reports the FBI believes it has "solid" evidence that the suspected mole supplied Israel with classified materials that include secret White House policy deliberations on Iran.

At the heart of the investigation are two people who work at The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a powerful pro-Israel lobby in Washington.

The FBI investigation, headed up by Dave Szady, has involved wiretaps, undercover surveillance and photography that CBS News was told document the passing of classified information from the mole, to the men at AIPAC, and on to the Israelis.

12. Notice
That the mole is "within the office of the Secretary of Defense."

That means someone close to Rumsfeld.
