How was Kerry's stop at the Daily Show?
Hey, fellow DUers! I've been on vacation (in Las Vegas - at the Excalibur - with Hubby and Daughter). I just got back! Missed the Daily Show with Kerry. Forgot to record it. Any info?

Also, I can't wait to hear about (and see pictures of) the goings-on in the Big Apple.

1. Excellent
Came off as very personable, intelligent, thoughtful. Not as strong as Big Dog's appearance, but not many people can follow Bill. Stewart did a good job exposing the ridiculousness of the smears being leveled at him.

The next day was good, too.

TDS did a "People Peripherally Associated with the Daily Show for Truth" (or some such title) with audience members and alternate cameramen claiming that Kerry was never on the Daily Show and that he lied about his appearance on the Daily Show.

Then Gillespie (from RNC) came on as the guest. Giggled incessantly.

7. Really enjoyed it!
I'd been under the impression Stewart was rather tall. Then John Kerry came in and they shook hands -- what a surprise! Both to see how tall Kerry was and to see that Stewart is rather slight -- what is he? 5'9? (They didn't stand up long enough together to judge!)

Best routine: Word was that Kerry wasn't even IN Vietnam, what could he say about that? And Kerry answering he didn't know. He's been trying to figure out what happened to those years himself.

Love Stewart. Love John Kerry. They worked beautifully together.
