LOL: Kerry needs to pounce on this "miscalculations" stunt
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 03:53 PM by TheDonkey
Bush just let the whooper fly.

Miscalculated the insurgency, and the post-war operation. How about he never had a plan to begin with to even deviate from, the dumbass.

From AP:::

WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites), undertaking a heavy campaign schedule in key states in the run-up to the Republican National Convention, acknowledges a "miscalculation" about what the United States would encounter in post-war Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime.

2. It is not a miscalculation when the military brass paid to think these
things out told him it wasn't a good idea. Not a miscalculation when you just plain dismiss any information that does not conform to the agenda you had long decided upon. Not a miscalculation to spend lives callously in an exercise in war profiteering.

No miscalculation at all. It was treason, fraud, murder and theft, pure and simple.

3. Yeah...
Rmemember how the repugs tried to use "sensitive" to mock Kerry.

He should mock dumbya at every turn, showing that there was plenty of evidence (in the State Dept. for example) that dumbya's expectations re. Iraq were not feasible.

That's not a miscalculation, that is an ignorant mistake.

11. See Link for Details
BBC report on a NYT story. The Chimp's trying to pass off Iraq as a "miscalculation". I hope Kerry pounds him to dust over this.

It's not the full interview, just excerpts. But if you scroll down a bit, to "Iraq" you will see the dialogue.

14. Yes! Yes! Yes!
EVERY DEMOCRAT--repeat--EVERY DEMOCRAT should now talk about all of Bush*s "miscalculations" at every opportunity. The debt, the deficit, Social Security, jobs, Iraq, poverty, medical costs, medical insurance, the environment, no child left behind, etc. etc.

Then slam home the point: How many more Bush* miscalculations can we afford? Four more years worth? Heaven help us!!!!!

17. NYT article
The quote is from a NYT times article that summarizes an interview with Bush. It's in today's paper online. Interesting article -- worth the read. He also claims the "miscalculation" took place because the war part of the war was too successful, SH's troops ran and have conducted insurgencies since then. Guess ol W still doesn't understand the religious splits in Iraq -- SH's troops had nothing to do with the Sunni troubles in places like Falujah and Najaf.

19. No... old W doesn't understand WAR.
the war part of the war was too successful!? Sorry chumpy Bush, but the post war IS part of the war.

What a pathetic waste of a life form this man is. And to think of all the good men and women who have died due to his "miscalculation".

20. The stubborn insistence of an idiot
They asked Stupidhead in several different ways, and the only answer they get is that Saddam's gone, Iraq's better off, and they're on the path to free elections.

The only problem as far as Stupidhead is concerned is that they were too victorious too soon. He figured that Saddam's army would stand and fight, so it's not Stupidhead's fault that they didn't follow the script.

Any military historian, hell anyone with half a brain, could tell Stupidhead that an army isn't going to "stand and fight" when they're facing overwhelming odds against them and there's an alternative. But it is still a surprise and a wonder to him, 17 months later, that the Iraqi army didn't just stand before the mighty American wehrmacht and get annihilated.

What. A. Dope.
