When I am away from the city there are a couple of resources I use to keep up with activity here. I thought I would share for anyone who couldn't make it to town this week but wants some additional sources for what the heck is going on here.

The first is NY1's website. NY1 is carried on local cable on Channel 1 (what a concept!) They cover NYC news and events pretty much exclusively. Their websiote is here: http://www.ny1.com/

And this one provides a live view of Time Square (pick your angle).

If anyone has a webcam site which points at Union Square please let me know.

2. I haven't found one of Union Square yet

The only one out there is one from someone's apartment window and it's only near Union Sq. Just a tree.
