CNN is in full whore mode now

In the last hour we got a 10 minute "preview" of the Mission
of Dubya special, complete with lots of 9/11 footage and
commentary about Georgie boy "gathering himself" while at
the school reading My Pet Goat (they didn't dwell on the film
much, but he STILL looked terrified to me). Plus the spin now
is the the "Vietnam controversy, which Kerry brought on himself,
has hurt Kerry in key battleground states" - plus a quick crossfire
preview where the "non partisan" anchor (sorry, don't know his name)
was ribbing Carville about the lack of bounce for Kerry after
the DNC.

4. I had to turn it off. I think I'm going to order DirectTV.
At least, they have Free Speech Television and news from outside this country. I'm suffocating in this Bush Bubble.

12. I did, never been happier

I took CNN and the Faux off and I get the spoken news from the BBC. It is great! I have an antenna but I don't use it so I don't have to see the political adds unless someone links one. Also a bonus except for CNN I didn't see many and now that they are gone....:D

5. Could Miles O'Brien get his lips any closer to Bush's butt?
"Aren't these numbers just horrible for John Kerry, James?"

7. Is that what he said?
It was hard to hear, what with it being so muffled.

9. I used to really like this guy
His science (and NASA) reports were top-notch.

Then they moved him into the anchor's chair and told him to dumb it down.

He has completely sold out. An Bush toady.

I wonder how much he cost...

17. I've been disappointed too
I really liked his space coverage. The specials on NASA were really good like the one on the space shuttle.

It's really amazing how terrible the station has got. It has been bad for years, but it seems to have got worse as their market share decreased and their ratings faltered.

10. That's the dillhole

Couldn't remember his name.
Jesus. There isn't any bounce to be had. At most, 8 percent
of voters can be swung from one candidate to the other, so where
is a convention bounce going to come from... dillhole!

8. I am done with them
I quit Fox a long time ago and have been on the verge of quitting CNN for a while. I keep surfing by it, checking in a minute or two here and there to see if anything has changed--it never has, and now I'm done. Boycott. Fuck 'em.

Trying to find the occasional piece of respectable journalism in CNN is reminding me too much of the time I watched Gone with the Wind as an adult. When I was 16, I enjoyed the love story. Then I saw the movie as an adult and was blown away by the constant racism. I kept watching it, hoping to filter out the racist parts, trying to separate those from the love story, so I could re-enjoy that. It can't be done. The racism permeating the whole movie. And CNN is permeated now with whoredom. I'm done. That's it.

13. Douchevak For Liberty Makes Up A Poll
According to the Prince Of Darkness the electoral map he and his invisible friend made up has Kerry & Bunnypants even.

Of course this wouldn't fit into the meme that CNNservative would love a deadlocked race going into the RNC whorefest...or why would anyone want to watch their drivel?

Every time I see & hear this, I get more charged up...this is far from a knock, it's a boost...and we all should take it as a kick to work harder and hope those who swallow the CNNservative kool-aid get complacent and stay home on Nov. 2...scared shitless!

14. No one is listening to Clinton
It is not nam, it is the economy stupid.

Focus on the economy, drop nam and all the military stuff. No one cares and you just start more fights.

whatever -- they are all losing issues for Bush.

15. I think I'll start boycotting Crossfire too. It and Lou Dobbs
have been the only CNN shows I watch. But the fascist CNN producers have obviously perverted Crossfire into a * cheerleading propaganda stunt. I'll keep watching Lou, until and unless he crosses over to the dark side.
