John McCain, having some difficulty selecting a Vice-Presidential candidate, was informed today that Dick Cheney was being appointed to the position.

McCain received a telephone call from Dick Cheney himself, informing him of this decision by the Committee to Ensure Extended Republican Rule, chaired by Dick Cheney.

4. Ah, the eight words you never want to hear...
"The Vice President’s Office is on the phone.” Actually, more dreaded still are the next eight words: “And he’s inviting you on a hunting trip.”
