This is just a theory that I have, but on Monday, when the convention starts, the media whoring on the swift boat issue will have to stop. the worst 3 weeks of the year will be over.
Then Bush will take the stage. We tend to do a lot better when the media focus is on Bush, because people know that he's bullsh**ing whenever he talks about the economy or Iraq. In other words, we're back in position to have a referendum on Bush again.
Bush and Kerry are currently pretty much tied in electoral votes, with Kerry slightly ahead. This is because the swiftboat ads have had an effect in Ohio and West Virginia, Bush has ramped up his Wisconsin effort, and Hurricane Charley actually did help Bush a little. But it won't last. Write it down.
On Edit: There is one major risk going into the convention, and his name is Zell. Kerry is leading right now in EVs, but that's because he's leading in Tennessee. Expect that to change after Zell Miller, who is from those same Appalacian mountains, speaks.
But on a large scale, we will be back on track and where we need to be. Let's just hope that Kerry doesn't foob up the debates.
