Why isn't Edwards making more appearances

He is supposed to add populism and likeability to the ticket. He should be doing more appearances

He was scheduled to be in St. Charles, Missouri today (just across the Missouri river from St. Louis)

Don't know about his schedule beyond that, but he is out there.

plenty of people will vote for kerry solely because of edwards. Especially in the south

I wish we could get more media coverage, but so long as some people are going out and hearing the message, I'm happy.

The national press isn't covering him, which is fine - he's getting great local press and that's what really matters at this point.

was just too damaging to smirk. The media have their orders. Edwards is just MUCH too charming, sensible and speaks way to well to allow too much coverage.

20. Tom Oliphant said, on Hardball I think, that he's getting

huge local press. That he's making tons of appearances, and getting great local press.

The local coverage is more thorough, I gather, than the national soundbites we get on the cable and broadcast networks.

Oliphant couldn't have been more enthusiastic about the effect Edwards is having.

The fact that the national press isn't covering him may indicate that he isn't making many mistakes they can harp on.

He wasn't anywhere near my choice for either of the positions on the ticket, but I am happy he's apparently doing a good job for our side on the campaign trail.

Sadly, the national media can rarely trouble itself to cover his campaign stops.
