Come on folks! We can win this thing if you...

Stop reading polls. Stop watching those political talk show wrestling matches on tv, their rating are so low they are nothing more than cults. Stop agonizing over every negative ad attacking our guys, they are designed to get YOU down.

Start talking to everyone you meet, the checkout person at the supermarket, your barber, your neighbor, your friend at work about (pick one or two that best fit the situation);

The increase in poverty in this country.
Bush thinking outsourcing jobs is a good thing.
Bush thinking cutting overtime is a good thing.
45 million without health insurance.
Health care costs spiraling out of control.
Bush's prescription drugs for seniors fraud.
Bush's no child left behind fraud.
How our National Guard and Reserves, and their families, are being abused by the Pentagon.
Almost 1,000 dead soldiers and probably 10,000 horribly wounded over lies.
The Enron scandal. The Palme scandal. The Abu Ghraib scandal.

Good God, folks. We have a GREAT candidate for President, and a GREAT candidate for Vice President. We have a GREAT lineup of organizations watching their backs. And, once the American public gets to size them up in the debates, next to the current losers in the White House, we are going to see a tidal change of opinion.

So lets see some sleeves rolled up and get our game faces on. Lets lay the groundwork so Kerry and Edwards can hit the frickin' cover off the ball in the debates.

Capice?

1. Amen!
Great post, and what was most amazing was coming up with a brief, potent list of Bushie transgressions among the zillions you could have chosen!

3. In October 2000, It was 50/40-something (advantage: bu$h)
...and Gore WON in 2000. The polls were meaningless.

Consider:

1. In 2004, bu$hit has gained zilch support, and has even lost some. I see more Kerry signs now than I saw Gore signs in 2000. People are more incensed and energized. They REMEMBER 2000, and worse, they REMEMBER the last 4 years of Hell courtesy of bu$h - national security, economy, environment, healthcare - ALL ISSUES BU$H has failed on. They see (60% or so of them) the SBVT debacle as something bu$hit is behind - and he IS. Most people think the country is largely headed in the wrong direction, too. People have seen his lousy record whereasin 2000, they were willing to give him a chance. Many more of them, now that they've 'EXPERIENCED' his policies, are not willing to give him 4 more years.

2. IF the Repigs don't rig the machines too badly (and they ARE going to rig them), IF the Repigs haven't diluted the Dem vote too badly with their redistricting gerrymandering (and they've done so), IF they Repigs can't keep enough eligible voters away from the polls via intimidation, 'terra' scare tactics, media prop-o-ganda, 'pull-a-terraist-out-of-a-hat' tricks, or 'voter cleansing lists' a la Florida - (and they'll try all of that and then some)

- and IF we can USE the support we've gained because of items in paragraph #1 to our advantage to OVERCOME all this Repig crap, Kerry has a chance.

LOTs of work and we cannot afford to get too sidetracked into poll results. WRITE and call the media, keep your eyes peeled, and spread the word far and wide when they don't tell OUR side and when they LIE which is every minute of every day.

Get on Kerry's site and read his Rapid Response and Press Releases and send and post them everyplace. GET A KERRY KIT and pass it on. The media is imprisoning and torturing the Democratic message - Kerry's message. It's up to us to stop the abuse, and set it free. The media - ain't gonna do it. We've got to be our OWN media.

Well. That's my rant. But, I HATE the media...

4. Media needs a horserace to justify their existence
And a horserace they shall have. Its gonna be a wild run to the finish line, full of twists and turns and the sun ain't gonna shine in the same dogs ass every day. But will will be crossing the finish line first.

And I will be on the biggest drunk in my life!

5. You have unwittingly exposed the major problem:
“The increase in poverty in this country.
The Abu Ghraib scandal.”

In your list of items to talk about to “the checkout person at the supermarket, your barber, your neighbor, your friend at work” you failed to mention a single POSITIVE reason for voting for John Kerry. As long as this campaign is focused George Bush’s negatives as opposed to John Kerry’s positives it is headed for failure.

How about talking to people about:

Kerry’s consistent support for equal rights
Kerry’s economic policy
Kerry’s fair tax policy
Kerry’s foreign policy expertise
Kerry’s national health policy
Kerry’s consumer protection policy

7. Here here!
Been trying to say that for the past day or so, but nobody has been responding. While we've been focusing on a bunch of liars, bad news for Bush has been streaming out under the radar.

1. The prison abuse scandal reports came out.
2. The new overtime rules came into effect.
3. Census reports saying that for the 3rd year in a row poverty levels and the uninsured levels have risen.
4. Just today Greenspan suggested that the retirement age be raised and benefits lowered for the Baby-boomers.

Just to name a few!

We need to wake up and keep our eyes on the prize (issues). Bush can't win on the issues and that's where we need to keep pounding!
