Whether it was Hillary or Obama who got the nomination it was a historical year
Because either we were going to have a woman or an African-American as our nominee.

So I'm so tired of the glass being looked at as 'half-empty' - comments that once again a man was nominated as president. Well consider this - if Hillary had received the nomination it could easily have been said that once again 'a white person was nominated'

We have to stop looking at the glass half-empty. There were TWO major glass ceilings out there - one for women and one for minorites. Both were were pounded at strong during this primary but it was Obama's ceiling that cracked open. But what makes me tingle inside is the thought that pretty soon it will be a woman's turn. Hillary did not lose because she was a woman but simply because Obama was the better candidate over the long run.
