I for one am going to enjoy watching the RNC.
There is nothing better than theater of the absurd.

And almost no one is watching anyway.

Although it'll be tough sitting thru country-western music and watching repugs square dance.

13. "Matronizing with the microphone" -- LOL
Wasn't that the phoniest thing you've ever seen in your LIFE! I still haven't recovered from Liddy's frightening, pasted-on smile and corn-pone warbling. Ew.

6. I don't know if I can...
I might kill myself...Or worse yet someone else!

I don't know if I could stomach watching it. Then again I do like torturing myself in the weirdest ways. I probably will tune in.

11. I'm right there with ya.
I think it will be great theater and everytime I see a B/C 04 rally on tv it just makes me more and more resolute that we are doing the right thing booting him out. The RNC will be just like a battery boost for me.

12. I'll have to pass...
I am leaving for Australia on Tuesday so I will be out of the country for most of it.

I do have to admit that I have some books I am looking forward to reading on the long plane trip (John Dean's, Kevin Phillip's n the Bush Family, Craig Unger's Bush/saud and David Brock's two tomes) to keep my righteous indignation up to acceptable levels!!!

I also wonder what kind of coverage shrub and the repukes will get down under.

14. I think it would be a great time to do some phoning
for Kerry. Pull people away from the horrifying Leni-Riefenstahl-spectacle from New York and give them a reason to live --- by voting for John Kerry.

Like a political Jim Rose Circus.

One big freak show of tasteless music, comical outbursts, false indignation, and Zell miller as a bonus.

Even carnival rides

21. true confessions
i haven't watched a convention since Mario Cuomo's city on a hill speech.

i guess because i'd been an active loser in the dem primary for so long, (Udall, Kennedy, Dean, etc...) i don't watch.

and why bother watching the rethugs? all i have to do is pick up any paper if i want to know what they want me to think.

i think i'll just watch old silent movies on dvd.
