Has the Right Wing media done the Obama campaign a favor?
As time goes on, I am more and more impressed with the overall brilliance of the Obama campaign, and their ability to orchestrate things the way that they want them. They have played the media when they needed to, as shown brilliantly with the VP selection netting them the publicity and cell phone #'s of millions of voters.

Now as I see the DNC ramp up day to day, with the great speeches by so many, I realize that the MSM's playing up of the Clinton/Obama "feud" may have actually been of a net benefit to Obama.

Bill and Hillary Clinton are HUGE assets to the campaign. There is no question about that. But, if the Clintons had simply walked out of the spotlight and the media ignored them, the only way Obama would have gotten this high level of support from them would have been to have Hillary on the Ticket.

The consequence of the "dis-unity" meme, meant that Obama could select a VP other than Hillary and STILL get Hillary and Bill's support as if they were on the ticket. Bill and Hillary had/have to come out balls to the wall for him. The dis-unity meme tied their reputations to Obama's success. He basically has THREE presidential level surrogates along side him now. Adding Michelle to that, I don't think we've had a candidate with so many powerful voices at his disposal (including his own).

I'm not saying that they orchestrated this, but I wouldn't put it past them. And, credit to the Obama campaign for taking advantage of it.

Obama is a very smart guy. And, he's surrounded himself with great people and run an incredible campaign. He's going to surround himself with very smart people, as president as well and I think we are going to see great results.
